Hi,

have you tried cold fusion instead of asp?
It is so easier for us designer people....especially html kids....it is
completely tag based...if you know even the most basic html it is quite
basic....in no time you can get dynamic pages up and running without writing
any code.....much simpler and more elegant than asp or php....

Actually, I'm using a combination of several things to learn ASP. I
downloaded the entire passle (parcel?) of files that Dan V. provided us from
the Flash Brothers production of the LandRover site, and am going through
those for examples, etc...Then I also read through that one short tutorial
on ASPToday (http://www.asptoday.com/articles/19991001.htm) about building a
form with ASP and Flash. But I've found a great reference, for me, at
http://www2.ewebcity.com/home/codelib/howto.asp?htcat=1. It has a place to
build & maintain your Access database, generate your database connection
string with the click of a button, and some very very basic tutorials "from
the top" which is exactly what I needed! On top of that, Helen T (creator
of Sockman) has been a great help!

As a matter of fact, I now have a Flash movie that goes and retrieves my one
piece of data from my one table in my fledgling database. Whoopie!
