FLASH: How can I check stats of Flash Plug-in presence on an existingsite?

Hi All


I want to be able to get stats of visitors to an existing site, regarding

the presence of the Flash Plug-in and, preferably, the version.


Am I looking at Javascript, or could I use a small Flash movie that sends

info to me (or drops the info into a db) when visitors have the plug-in

(kinda like the mook sniffer]. I realise that I would then only get numbers

of people *with* the Flash plug, but I could compare that to the existing

web stats.


One thing to bear in mind is that this site gets up to between 200-700+

unique visits a day.


Thinking out loud, but in need of help. Any takers?
