Subject: FLASH: ALCAZAR vs/meets GaBoCorP

TO ALL the CRIT-BALLS:
----------------------

ALL PUBLICITY IS GOOD EVEN BAD PUBLICITY
----------------------------------------
Well - I thought about this issue and this is the conclusion to all the "lil
peeps" out there that are actually *NEW* to flash and sit there ripping off
sites that they can not even build themselves.

FOR THOSE THAT ARE LOST ---> http://www.alcazar.co.za

ISSUE ONE (GABO vs ALCAZAR):
----------------------------
The web is filled with various HTML sites that:

...have a layout with the links to the left of the page.
...these links are usually MouseOver Java Scripts using 2 images doing a
basic flip from one to the other on MouseOver...
...then all these HTML sites also have similar GIF89a graphics on them and
the end-user has to "scroll" ... cause the lamer designer waz to lazy to
design an anti-scroll site. (Only 13% of the entire internet scrolls down)
...most of these HTML sites use similar if not exactly the same java, visual
basic and asp coding.

IN CONCLUSION - we might say that they all use a similar "CONCEPT" - not so?

-OR-

Should we make the same judgement there like 'ol KIRSTEN, RUSS and jb? and
say that all the sites on the web with these similarities are blatant
"COPIES" of the other like GABO and ALCAZAR (which I might add have mere
"CONCEPT" similarity and are only x2 sites) -

We are in FLASH ppl! Catch a wake up and maybe load both those sites next to
one-another and COMPARE them like someone that HAS GOD GIVIN EYES AND EARS
TO SPOT THE DIFFERENCE!!

ISSUE TWO (LOADING TIME OF ALCAZAR):
------------------------------------
I have spent the last year with "ONLY" the END-UseR in mind in the bandwidth
of ALCAZAR!! What is this about me only looking after my EGO-SHIT?

That site started of as an 800k site a year ago - with the first Flash sites
making their appearance including Gabo, Matinee, eye4U bla bla but to name a
few... the site then went through a WHOLE year and is still undergoing
FINE-TUNING to lower the bandwidth (at present at 581kb in ver3) I would
call that a remarkable improvement and it is STILL going SMALLER and smaller
with the SAME POWER and EFFECT... KAPISH?

Even the phuking menu system has been designed around the "newby factor" =
all buttons, the way they appear, the infinite button access, the "NO BACK
BUTTONS" navigation...

ALL OF THIS WAZ DONE KEEPING THE DAMN END-USER IN MIND!

My answer to Mr Russ who stated earlier: "I find it hard to believe that the
end user was thought of in the creation of this site..."

FEEL FREE TO LOOK FOR A BACK BUTTON HUN... THERE ARE NONE!

ISSUE THREE (THE PPL THAT DISCRIMINATE HERE):
---------------------------------------------
I joined this list to offer help - as I consider myself a valuable source of
Flash3 info and also cause I work on this application EVERY day of my life
now,,,,

I also thought that we are all here to draw valuable info from each other
and help each other ...

I thought we are here to show one-another our work ... as professionals.

I found instead ppl that break down and discriminate - although some of them
do not even have a site to show!!! And even those that are available for
viewing, I consider "AMATURE" and "NEWBY" like...

ONLY the DAVID GREY - "FULL THROTTLE" site has captured my attention so far
on this ENTIRE LIST!!

(taking into account that FULL THROTTLE also loads SLOWLY - BUT what a
SITE!!!)

IT IS THE SAME 'OL SH!T: "THE HIGH TREES GET THE WIND... :) "

Kind Regards
