If you suddenly need to repurpose your Flash work into the JavaScript/HTML
that Fireworks specializes in, the just open up that FLA as a library in a
new Flash document, drag the animation out to new timeline in this new
document, and publish as GIF.

(There isn't direct trading of symbol libraries between Flash and Fireworks
as there is between FreeHand and Flash... we're just starting to get up to
speed in terms of sharing symbol libraries among the applications and
aren't all the way there yet, sorry.)

Does the above let you change the use of that existing art as you wish...?
