Subject: FLASH: Position detection not quick enough.
From: Shaun Brazier

Hi folks,

I have a wee problem.

I am detecting the position of a draggable MC etc etc.

My whole movie is only 40px high. When the draggable MC is taken out of a pre-defined rectangle (not using the constrain within rectangle under drag movie clip) an action stops some other actions. Unfortunately, if I roll the mouse out of that rectangle and therefore out of the whole movie too fast, the STOP action is not executed. Is there any fail safe that I can use?

I think the problem is due to the mouse moving faster than the MC and therefore being left behind within the constraining rectangle once the mouse rolls out of the whole movie.

I have tried bumping the fps up to 80! but it still sometimes does it. I am now using an fps of 30.

Please help.

TIA

Shaun.
