FLASH: Communicating from movie clips with-in Scene 1 to Scene 2

I am having a problem of communication.

I am trying to communicate from a button that is in a movie clip that is

placed on the time line of scene 1.

I would like that button to tell the swf file ideally to goto and play scene

2.

but for some reason this does not work, it will not let me communicate from

a movie clip in a scene to

another scene.


I am developing in Flash 5, but have Flash 4 available as well.
