Subject: FLASH: Regarding pictures and sounds

Hi! I was just hired to do two sites for some local bands. Being relatively
new to Flash and publishing sites to the web, I was hoping to get some advice
before I started these projects! I intend to do them exclusively in Flash
since essentially, it's all I know outside of my Trellix Web site builder
program! :-)

Both of these sites will have a ton of photographs on them. Any advice you
can give me on keeping file size low? Should I import as jpegs or bitmaps?

As far as sounds go, I'll be importing as wavs (obviously) but was a little
confused as far as the compression choices go. Should I keep it at mp3 or
would another setting be better? And, is it possible to have downloads OUT
of flash? Yes, actionscripting is still a foreign language to me! :-)

And lastly (for now), one site wants an intro with a montage of past and
present photos. Do you think 30 seconds is too long for a MTV like montage
of sound and images?

Thank you so much for your help!!
