Caroline,

Please find details of our Web site promotion service, VisibilitE, at:

It's important to be aware that while your site design must be:
a) search engine friendly, to be catalogued at all, and
b) 'keyword' friendly, to attract users directly to targeted content within
your site,
there are no guarantees that this will increase your traffic.

An increase in traffic will entirely depend on the 'noise' around keyword
search results i.e. the rankings of competitors in your field, and the size
of that 'keyword audience'. Having said that, we increased search engine
traffic to HotelBook.com, a hotel reservation site, by 400%!

71% of Internet users use the search engines as 'the method they most use
to find information on the Web' (CommerceNet/Nielsen Media Research, Apr 97).
Next most popular methods were:
* 'recommendations from friends/relatives' - 10%
* 'newspapers and magazines' - 9%
* 'links from other Web sites' - 8%.

With this in mind, IMHO, one of the most important questions any Web site
owner should be able to answer is 'What do you expect someone to type into
a search engine to find your Web site?'

Answering this question not only helps in increasing search engine
visibility for your site but, more importantly, it's a great aid to
focusing one's online business strategy. Your USP may not be what it used
to be!?
