Sorry, I don't see the problem here.


Surely this is no different to an advertiser paying for premuim ad

positions in

a magazine?


Eg. If in a particular magazine there's a regular books feature, there's

nothing 'dubious' about a bookseller taking an ad within or immediately after

the feature (if the ad space is available). If a reader is looking at that

particular feature, it's more than likely that he/she is considering buying a

book. It doesn't stop other booksellers buying space in the same magazine.


Surely that's nothing more than sensible media planning/buying on the

advertiser's part? It's certainly not unethical for the media owner to sell

that space to them (after all, that's what pays the wages).


Sell that opportunity to the highest bidder, I say.
