My two pence worth...


* Release of the Joanne Woodward verdict on the Internet first which

messed up badly as I recall (that was this year wasn't it?)

* The FAST summit, paving the way for the colonisation of the Internet

by every FMCG brand in Christendom - I hope

* Ford/Coke/MacDonalds signing up for interactive advertising on the

Open platform, which hopefully sets a precedent for others

* The pivotal role played by the Drudge Report in Clintongate

* The Netscape/Intel investment in Red Hat (and general Linux/Unix

momentum), giving hope to those who see Linux as the last best hope

for victory against Microsoft

* Product announcements/rumours for Palm VII/Cyrix WebPad/Apple

WebMate which will open up the market for wireless handheld devices

which can access the Internet

* The fact that I no longer have to explain to people what the

Internet is when I tell them what my job is...
