So? Being paid to know is not the same thing as knowing (People called
stefan in glass houses, etc ;) ). My point was that the qed-uk.com site
wasn't slow. I've seen sites served in telehouse perform like pigs. The
factors affecting the performance of a website are many-fold, and all
the bandwidth in the world won't help you if you've got a stupid site
built on a stupid architecture, on an underspecced machine... qed-uk.com
is an OK site built with limited resources, and they obviously made a
cost-related choice in their hosting. It's working fine for them.
Of course, you're paid to flog UK internet connectivity, so you probably
wouldn't think of it in those terms.
And I noticed, despite the clearly tongue-in-cheek tone of my mail, you
took the effort to respond to each option on the question individually.
