Subject: UKNM: Primitive, Invasive - How Very Christian
From: Tim Ireland
Date: Thu, 21 Dec 2000 13:36:34 GMT

I happened across a Christian comic book on the trip home last night. It
laid 'the message' on kind of thick, so of course when I saw a URL on the
back page, I just had to visit...

***WARNING: before you visit this URL, disable any 'send
immediately/regularly' function you may have on your default email
program.***

So off I went to:
http://cust.idl.com.au/fold/

As soon as the page had loaded, a warning popped up:

"This form is being submitted using e-mail.
Submitting this form will reveal your e-mail address to the recipient, and
will send the form data without encrypting it for privacy.
You may continue or cancel this submission."

Yep, this joker had it set up so when someone visited the main page, it
would automatically generate an email and pop it in the Outbox with the
following info:

PAGE=A Christian Community: Jesus Christians
REFERRER=
PLATFORM=Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.5; Windows NT
5.0)
LOADING_TIME=4.056 seconds
SUBMITTER=fold

Pretty slim info (and wrong on at least one count), but the *principle* has
me pretty steamed. I'd turn the other cheek, but it's the cheekiness that
has me so annoyed!
