been until a month or two back), I shouldn't be able to get my e-mails
@begbie.com?

Domains ain't just for web-pages y'know.

Cool. So McDonalds can spend another few thousand bucks getting
McDonalds.web, mcdonalds.firm, mcdonalds.arts, etc? And then in couple of
years, everyone will sit around bitching on this list that some bastard
cybersquatter already has business.web, movies.store, etc.

As has been pointed out, people naturally associate "dot com" with web
addresses. And if you're launching a brand in the UK, you want the "co dot
uk" one as well. I think it was Lycos that had something memorable like
"lycos-uk.com" when they launched a British service, because Lycos.co.uk was
owned by someone else.

But then, I really wanted the new TLDs, if only so I could get
"smellyf.arts".
