well obviously they were going to sue, but the fact that the RIAA have
sued doesn't mean game over.

Remember when they sued Diamond for making the Rio MP3 player? or Sony
(although I think this was the movie studio association) for making
Betamax video recorders?

or the current CSS/DVD case?

or the case against napster?

They lost the Rio/Sony cases. The CSS case they definitely going to lose
( for those interested/not aware, some guy broke the (flawed) encryption
in DVD discs, and published the source code for his decrypter. The MPAA
are suing every site they can find that's got the code on it. way too
late to put that cat back in the bag)

I strongly suspect they'll lose napster and my.mp3.com too.
