You are right - cuttings agencies don't cut for them. Beatwax or Get Real!
(another student marketing agency) should monitor cuttings - however I have
worked with both of them recently for a student website launch (in my
previous PR agency) and they didn't seem to actually get hold of the
coverage.

Having said that, it's hard to get hold of it anyway - we tried to do it for
our client as PR agencies should, but you are relying on students sending
you copies of the coverage and they often don't . Also, databases like
MediaDisk don't list all the student titles so you have to call round the
list of unis/colleges yourself and create your own list. "Staff" turnover
at student mags is also extremely high, making constant contact very hard.
They don't answer the phones either.
