Well, just to wrap things up, SCOPE, the cerebral palsy group, say that this
"brainstorming is doubleplus ungood" thing is nothing to do with them. But
that they *have* heard that some other mental health groups object to the
term. I'm still sniffing a urban legend, even if it's one that ends up being
believed by the very sector it belittles. It's always somebody else. The
press guy also told me that "other" British pressure groups don't use the
word
"handicapped" because they think its etymology of "hand in cap" conveys
ideas
of begging. Riiight.
