Why not, this industry is powered by bullshit. At least it's an

ecologically sound fuel though. The teleworking excuse is obviously

just a way of stealing your ideas for free.


My favorite similar incident was when Syzygy (then agency of record

for a large Cola company (not Coke)) did about four months of work on

concepts / internal presentations for a new music site for said

company (for no pay) which was then put out to pitch to another four

agencies. Syzygy weren't even told about the re-pitch, let alone

asked to pitch themselves.


Credit to the companies management - they threatened to drag the

corporate bastards through the courts for unpaid services to the tune

of about £60k. Said Cola company eventually settled out of court for

around £40k.
