An alternative to paying to getting listed on search sites very few people
visit:

Enter your site onto www.dmoz.org, the open directory - 100% free.

Within a few weeks it'll get preferential treatment on the major search
engines including Altavista, Google and Lycos. Don't beleive me? Type my
name into the search engine of your choice - if it comes up with a category
listing as the entry that's down to the open directory.

Try it with other stuff if you want.

It is the easiest way to get your site listed high on a search engine _if
you have a valid entry_. No hard sell needed.

You'll have to be a moron to pay for a directory listing. It amazes me some
of the awful buisness models some people think will work.
