The point I was trying to make was that the name chosen doesn't have to
directly relate to the intitial product/service offered.
In fact, it can be a curse if it does, on the basis that Amazon have since
widened their product offering to include music, dvd/video, auctions etc.

If they have been greatbiginternetbookstore.com the expansion into other
markets would have been that much more difficult.

That said, they clearly still have a way to go...your comments refer to
Amazon as purely a book etailer.
