By this argument shouldn't Yahoo et al take several weeks to render each page?

How do they know it's a good site if they have "not been immediatly able to
get in because of a slow down"? If they can't get into your site some of
'them' will go and find somewhere else that does what they want quicker,
and if it's a good site they'll stay there and never visit yours ever again.
