"Visual design is far easier to see" than usuability which can be
"invisible"??!!
Sorry Stewart could resist that - a bit harsh as I actually agree with what
you're saying.

Good design is about being able to use things well. To quote some people I
admire....
"Design is where industry and culture meet (some would say collide!) and
where engineering and art must coexist."

Too often design is taken to mean imagery, when it should be about ability
to do its job whilst appealing to your emotions....e.g. the Post-It (ugly
but who cares) (and definitely not flash e-commerce sites...unless you're
selling flash graphical design!). Back to Richard Seymour...."There's only
one thing worse than bad design, and that's bad design posing as good
design...wackiness masquerading as originality."
