Isn't this about that phrase "what the market will bear" The UK market
has for many years accepted higher prices (not really sure why) and this
is buillt into everyone's perception. I like many others are looking to
the Internet to break down these price differentials and am disappointed
with the many online vendors who are retaining "local" pricing policies.
I suspect however the the greater sophistication of UK Internet users
will force the issue.

I suspect that this is already happening in the software market where UK
vendors are being bypassed and people are buying from the US directly
either for download (avoiding any customs issues) or shipped where there
are still savings to be made.
