Bidding fever is right, IMHO.


I remember reading a report on ICONOCAST a few months ago about US online

auctions where quite often the products bought online ended up costing

significantly more than their usual high st. price. The conclusion was that it

was about more than just buying something online, it was about the thrill of

seeing if you could beat your competitors and win the prize.


Or something.
