Hi! About the first input.
Tried the djindex site - it came down in seconds - not that it wd be on my normal list of calls - but there you go.
Inane remark - but I think there are possibly 2 groups here
- There are you web professionals who 'surf'? the net to see what other folk are up to.
- There are some of us who use it primarily as an information source - e.g., it's
no use going to the London Rubber site because it downloads quickly - when the info you want is in Berkeley or Ford Mo. Co.!
- I'm not technical - I just program server side (for compatibility!)- but much more seems to depend on the time of day and traffic on the internet than anything.
-Are not the folk with an 8 second time span(which seems to have cropped up recently) like the people who use WH Smith mag. section as a culture source and never buy anything?
-Is that the audience you seek?
Sorry about this - perhaps you should eject me from the list.
Incidentally I dial up from home on 128 - or so it says but it can get decidedly slow at times whatever I am viewing/surfing.
