understood - but what does this mean if i email someone the movie who the
emails it to other people? does that then become a "viral" strategy?

'cept the point about viral marketing is that the message is carried with
or without the carriers intention. e.g. like a virus carried on a
disease-ridden coder.

it's quite different to word-of-mouth, which can also be used effectively.
