Although I would argue that the BOL book give-away wasn't traditional Viral
Marketing as it was promoted through banners as well as email... one of the
best examples (unfortunately for Argos) was the recent £3 for a colour telly
fiasco.

I got the email and was at their site by lunchtime, but it was too late.
However I had heard by email from a friend, who had got an email from
another friend, who had spoken to someone.... etc. How many orders did they
eventually get??? All in one day!

That's successful Viral Marketing.
