Over the next few weeks Chinwag will be getting to grips with search in all its forms; from mobile and geo-location to SEO and paid search marketing. We gathered for the first in the series, Search vs Recommendation, on Tuesday 2nd September in Soho to discuss the relative plus points of blanket search systems, recommendation and review sites.

The Chinwag Live 'on tour' session at Internet World provided another chance to dip into the debate that's emerging around measuring social media.

The best part of Chinwag Live is when the audience starts asking the difficult questions and there were plenty from the audience at last week's event, Real World Usability.

Exhausted, but exhilirated the Chinwag gang wended their weary way back from Chinwag Live: User Centered Advertising in Manchester last week.

The event was organised with the help of Manchester Digital - thanks, Shaun & Co - who helped fill up the CUBE gallery with over 60 of Manchester's digerati.

Chinwag Live sessions are designed to get a conversation going between the panel and the audience. As you'd expect, some subjects generate more chat than others. And some grow a life of their own.

We're delighted to confirm that Phorm's CEO, Hugo Drayton (he of Electronic Telegraph fame) is joining the panel when Chinwag Live hits Manchester.
