I've noticed the same problems with Netscape. There should be a check
box for "Static or Animated GIF" on the "Scripting" tab. Or you can
pull down the "Scheme" to "Shockwave only."

Subject: FLASH: AfterShock and a mind of its own.
Calling all AfterShock veterans,
Well now that I reinstalled aftershock and can use it without it
crashing,
I have another question.
Why does AS dump out a alternate gif file.
I can only assume that the alternate image is used when the
plug-in is not installed,
However, when I embed my Flash into HTML it shows the animated swf _AND_
the
alternate gif beside it in NS4.
What gives and how do I get rid of it?
There seems to be no option in AS to toggle whether its used or not.
Any light on the matter would be most appreciated.
