RE: FLASH: A teacher wonders why Action Script tutorials "bite"

I couldn't agree with you more Tom.  I am a Multimedia Producer and I am

trying to learn Flash myself (through books and tutorials).  I am not an

artist but I have figured out that part of Flash by myself.  Now I find

myself pulling out my hair trying to figure out how to add interactivity

through action scripts.

Sure I can make a button with rollover states but making a game or anything

else more complicated is beyond me.  I have poured over books and tutorials

and I can make interesting things happen but I have no idea why they work.

I don't understand what I have done and I am incapable of doing anything on

my own because of it.

It would be great if someone made a comprehensive tutorial explaining

exactly what you're doing and why you're doing it.
