If I may beg to differ with you: go to http://www.dartfrogmedia.com/stars/
to see a field of 100 stars created as I described in my previous post
today. The numbers in yellow refer to frames, so you can judge movie speed
on your machine. I set the rate to 40fps to push the limit on most
machines. On my P166 with a wimpy 2meg Virge S-3 video card, there's no
problem achieving a rate of about 12fps. I could have made the star tweens
simpler for greater speed (they're 40 frames each).
