I've been way to busy to be able to send my normal input to the flasher
list , but I do keep an eye on what goes on. Even with all the excess
work this is one mail I can't let go by without an answer.
First anyone that has been on this list for more than a couple of days
would know that this email was not written by John Dowdell. But if any
doubts remain a quick check of the headers will show it is nothing but a
spoofed email. This is not only illegal in various countries, including
in the UK from where the email was sent but is also quite contrary to
the whole concept of this mailing list.
We all know that among the many that use this list there are some rather
seedy elements, but this is a bit too much.
John Dowdell is in fact paid by MM but his constant willingness to help
on this list and countless other lists ( I've often wondered how he has
time for it all) shows a commitment that is well above what even the
most critical MM software user would require. Not only is his help
constant, exact and supportive but his 'savoir-faire' gained from a long
experience in this field gives his posts a credibility and authority
other MM employees don't have.
This is something I respect and I think many others feel this way.
