Though it certainly is professionally put together, the Barney's site is
guaranteed to confuse most shoppers. I'm siding with Jacob Nielson on this
one!

In the time it takes to figure out the ins and outs of this whiz-bang neato
site I could have taken a cab to Barney's and bought something already.

If I wasn't trying to learn all I can about Flash and its use, I'd have left
the Barney's site without really having seen much of it at all. As a designer
(with 20 years experience), I appreciate all the work put into it, but
really, do we need to use every trick in the book-- all at once? And what do
those floating paper-punch dots do for us, exactly?

Compared to a printed catalogue, or even a simple html table, the information
is not delivered well at all.
