Hi all,

Mac and Windows versions of IE are very different from each other.
Win IE 3 and later are ActiveX based whereas Mac IE machines are still
plugin based.

--Mac--
You can run IE3 and IE4 together on the Mac, though some people have
some side effects that may or may not be be caused by having the two
versions together.

--Windows--
On Windows 95/98/NT you cannot run a 32 bit version of IE3 and IE 4 at
the same time. You can runa 16 bit version of IE 3 and a 32 bit version
of IE 4 but unfortunately in this situation there additional Flash and
JavaScript problems that make this useless for the Flash developer.

In Windows MS has made it possible to run IE4 on an IE 5 machine but it
is too early to know if this compatibility mode is a true IE4
representation.
