Subject: FLASH: passing variables over the URL
From: Robbert - Jan

Hi all,

I can't seem to get my variables passed over the url into a flash movie.
My .swf movie is embedded in a .htm page that being called by a php file.

I already checked if the variable is passed and it does. When I view the info of the .htm page it ends with
file.htm?hoogscore=9017
so the variable makes it to the htm file, but how do I get it inside my flash movie?

At the first frame of the movie I'm retrieving text from a text file. But I don't think that this makes flash to loose the variable.
The text file contains variables named "hsname1", "hsname2" etc. and "highscore1", "highscore2" etc.
the variable I'm sending over the URL is the current highscore of the user and is named "hoogscore".
In the movie I've got a textfield which should contain the variable "hoogscore". this field is visible from the start of the movie.

What am I doing wrong, I don't see it ?
