Hi, Curtis.

Check into "load movie" for this situation. You can either load the other
movie into a "higher level" in which case your current movie will "show
through" any blank places in your top movie, or you can load it to level 0
and replace the calling movie, or you can create a blank movie clip and
place it where you want within the stage of your current movie, and load the
other movie into this movie clip.

Or, like you suggested, you could convert the entire movie into a movie
clip. Make a blank movie clip in your new movie. Go to the old movie &
highlight ALL the frames and right-click, "copy frames". Now go back to the
new movie clip, click in top left keyframe, right-click "paste frames" and
voila' you have your new movie clip!
