Import the same movie clip into the up and over keyframes of a button

The button has the same size as the movie clips.

Now adjust one of the 2 frames to a different alpha by for example right-clicking

the movie clip and choosing Properties. In those properties (on the second tab)

you can set alpha to lower value

I am new to flash and guess my question is so basic I can't find a resource.

I want to change the alpha property of a movie clip when the mouse is over

it.  I have tried changing behavior of the instance to button and on the

mouse rollover action set the property of alpha to 100 but nothing happens.
