Subject: FLASH: major MIDI question

hi, all

this is very MAJOR (for me) & it's hopefully a sound sound question:

why won't my attached midi play in NS 4.7 on mac?
no problem with IE5 on mac os9 (but no feedback yet from WIN users)
a mac friend verified both

the midis were output from digital composer as standard
i have QT installed in both NS & IE (& just played a QT movie in NS to be
sure it was working)

the site is up, but can't go 'public' until this prob is solved---it's all
too boring without the music, & many people i need to impress may likely be
running NS on macs

all three links have the MIDI plug-ins

i can see the music file load in NS but no bar appears & no music

code error? i use DW & place the MIDI using the object plug-in command --
can't believe that DW's writing is at fault, but here's the code anyway
(sorry i know flash better than html---MIDI support in flash, another
wish-list for v5):

by the way, does anyone know how ubiquitous MIDI players are out there? my
understanding is that nearly everyone has one in their browser, but if not,
should i offer a download of one from my home screen, since the sound is
important?

If so, is there a better one than QT or smaller?
