No, but it will create SWA, which was the first real implementation of MPEG
II Layer 3 audio compression. (People started hearing about .MP3 files a
year or so later.)

Compressed audio is usually a destination format, particularly when it's
lossy (even only perceptually lossy, as MP3-style compression is). Editing
MP3 is like recompressing a JPEG, but compressed data is good for delivery.

General caveat: Make sure you have legal rights to any MP3 files found on
the net. Many outlet sites may not check, but if it ends up on your site,
then you might be liable for unauthorized use of someone else's tunes....
