FLASH: deeply embedded buttons

I can create a simple button with a goto label action. I now have an

animation on the main movie. One of the elements of the animation is a

movieclip (it is animating too). One of the elements of this movie clip is

a graphic, one of the elements of the graphic is a button. How do I get

this button to tell the main movie (top level) to go somewhere? The button

is quite deeply embedded, and I don't know what the path should be in the

'tell' section.
