Here's something that does just that. Not on internet, so I'm attaching it.
At 12K it's pretty lightweight so I hope it poses no problem for anyone.
Button functionality requires a Javascript routine that opens a window but
I'm not including the html here.

Subject: FLASH: Fade in & out

Hello all-

Just starting out in Flash3 and I am trying to figure out how to do a fade
in & a fade out of objects.

If anyone can walk me through it or point me to a resource that would have
the information that I need I would appreciate it.

Chris
