Hi,


check out one of the "internet connectivity" maps here: 

http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~lhl/maps/

They are not as detailed as you need them but i used them for a similar 

purpose. Get one of the EPS files, kick out the color coding and the legend 

and you have nice world map.
