Stijn,

T1 is basically a 1.5 Mb/sec. connection. T3 is a 45 Mb/sec. connection.
There
are all sorts of 'fractional' ones in between that will give you a lower
speed
connection for a lower price. These are basically for businesses (and
priced
accordingly) since a whole company can all share one T1 or T3. Many huge
internet/tech conventions with all their connected display booths, cafes
and
such are run through just a few T3s.

"Box" usually just refers to a desktop computer since it's basically a
box
(i.e.: "a Wintel box with 128MB RAM"). Even the latest and greatest G4
"cube"
is a "box"...though a very cool one!
