Subject: FLASH: Two things happening in one scene?
From: David Ellsworth

Perhaps a newbie question, nonetheless...

I've got a animated color gradations flowing behind a masked text block on
the first two layers in a flash navbar file I'm working on.

I got all excited to learn how to do drop down menus on the Lynda Weinman
Flash 4 tapes and added them to the same scene. Of course now the smooth
animation for the color mask doesn't animate in favor of the drop downs due
to all the stop actions needed to Make the menus work properly.

What can I do?

Can I put the mask on a separate scene? I want it to be animating separately
from the drop downs. Did I answer this myself?

Help!

Take a look here (work in progress):

Thanks in advance!
