Robert,

I did this:

.make a new message

.<view>   <source edit>

.this will give you the three tabs along the bottom side of the email frame

'Edit' 'Source' 'Preview'

.edit is normal mode (I think)

.source is the HTML display area

.and preview is just that- preview ( i don't know why this is here when you

get an acurate preview in the edit mode, I could be wrong)

.the source tab is the gate to the garden.


I do have Outlook Express  5.00.2014.211 (no kidding)
