FLASH: How to speed up text scrolling

I made an interesting discovery today. Where you have a large amount of text

under a mask, and you want to scroll it, you can increase your performance

by breaking the text up into multiple text blocks, for example, giving each

paragraph its own text block. 


Depending on the size of the mask relative to the the total text, you can

roughly speed up your scrolling by a factor of 2. Im guessing, but I think

the reason for this is that Flash can ignore text blocks (or symbols) that

are entirely hidden by the mask.
