XML Column Datasource

What does it do?

The object takes XML and makes it available to Macromedia Generator in a
format that Generator can use (a resultset like Column format). It utilizes
the Generator SDK, the Apache Xerces XML parser, and the JDOM XML API.

The object has been tested with the following XML data formats :
Slashdot XML
Channel Definition Format (rdf / cdf)
Netscape rss
Moreover.com XML formats at :
http://w.moreover.com/categories/category_list_xml.html (over 300 categories
of free XML content feeds).

In addition, you can find tons of other XML content that the object will
work with at : http://www.xmltree.com/

Note : It should be possible to also use this to parse well formed HTML,
although this has not been tested yet.

The source code shows one way to parse XML and transform it into a
format that Generator can understand. It uses the apache xerces XML
parser (xml.apache.org) and the JDOM XML API (www.jdom.org).

The object and source code is being released under a modified Apache
license, a copy of which is included in the download.
