That happened to me once a while ago and I spent forever trying to fix it.
It turned out I had a some frame actions that put the movie in a one-frame
perpetual loop. I would say check your frame-actions carefully.

I cannot export a newly created movie, it also locks up in the middle when I
"test
movie." I have already tried it on two machines, nt and 98. Any
suggestions?
