Subject: FLASH: Flash development with multiple monitors? 2? 3?

My boss just stopped by and said that our department is about to send
several pc’s to surplus. Since we are getting nothing for them anyway, we
were wondering if there would be any benefit to keeping the video cards and
monitors for our Flash development work and running multiple displays from a
single pc. We are currently using Dell XPS-450 pc’s running Windows ’98.
We would be adding the older cards and displays to these systems.

Could any of you who do Flash website development using multiple displays
tell me the advantages of a 2 (or even 3?) display system? Should we ask
our director about hanging on to the video cards and monitors (15”, 3-year
old systems) from the machines going to surplus?

Thanks for any and all opinions you may have,

Gary (dejarnettatttu [dot] edu <dejarnettatttu [dot] edu (mailto:dejarnettatttu [dot] edu)> )
