Subject: RE: FLASH: Is it possible to drag tow items around at once?

I created my files all under win NT which can display files faster than 18
fps... I think it maxs out in the upper twenties. Also, I wrote my chapters
late last summer, before I ever though to see what the max fps for flash
was, or if it differed across OSs.
A few months back I tested (on my winNT box) the files with a counter and
GetTimer and I was getting very close to what I expected. However, after
testing the FPS on a couple of systems I found that no matter what win 95/98
will never display faster than 18 fps, no matter what you do. I have not
tested this on macs yet, but its probably the same there. Its something
about the OS that affects the max FPS of the movie. Hence there is no point
in making your FPS faster than 18, since the the majority of your audience
will be on 95/98.

Brandon, now I'm really confused..(at the risk of sounding obvious) why do
all the examples/tut's in the Flash4 Magic book ask you to set your fps
somewhere in the 20's?
