Subject: FLASH: Flash: passing variables by using the parameters
From: filip.hoeven

Hi,
- Sorry for the no-subject message -

I want to pass a lot of variables to a flash movie.
This flash movie is a menu for my site.
I want to pass the title, URL and target for each menu item.
Because I also use submenu's, these variables I want to pass
can be a large number (e.g. 50)

One way of doing this is like this:
mymenu.swf?menu1=Main+Page&menu1_URL=theurl&menu1_target=content&menu2=About+Me...

Another way is reading these variables from a file, but I don't want to do it like that.
Reason is: the file should be in MIME format, and it would not be easy for non-PC-minded people to
do this.

Is it possible to pass these variables by using the parameters that are passed to the flash movie?
This would be nice, because this is very easy to edit using dreamweaver.

Kind regards,
Filip
